Choral Reading

For our choral reading, we chose the book "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do you hear?" The most logical form of choral reading to us was call and response, since each page asks a question and answers it. One person could read the question and another person could answer the question and ask the next one. This also is helpful for children for understanding voice and who is the person talking through the story.

I like what you said about helping students think about voice. It will definitely help student see emotion in a reading as well and think about how an author meant for something to be read. I think dramatic reenactments of stories also fits in here and it would be interesting to combine the two ideas and see what students could come up with.
